Parker and I are soaking up this beautiful fall weather. He loves to be outside and now that its finally cool enough to be out there without melting/burning we're certainly taking advantage of it!!!
We took a little walk to the park:
^^ he really couldnt care less about the play place.. he just wanted to taste the wood chips all over!
on our way home from the park we walked past a house where a man was sitting in his backyard playing his ukelele the song What a Wonderful World. i couldnt help but start to sing the words outloud to the little ears with me. here i am with my son. the dream ive had almost all of my life. im pushing my baby in a stroller, im taking my baby to the park, im singing sweet songs to my baby. what a wonderful world.
'i see trees of green, red roses too.
i see them bloom for me and you'
there they are parker, see those trees? God is growing them. God is growing you! God is growing mommy!
'i see skies of blue and i see clouds of white,
the bright bliss of day'
see the sky, parker? thats the blue sky. God made that sky. God made those white clouds. God made you, parker. God made mommy too. what a wonderful world.
its so hard to remember how wonderful this world is. we focus so much on how terrible things can be or how much evil is around us we forget to remember the blessings that surround us each and every day. here is my little boy, my little responsibility, my little blessing. i want him to grow up to appreciate the wonderful things God has granted us here on earth. i want him to grow up loving the God who gave him life with all his heart, i want him to grow up to serve the God who made the blue skies, the white clouds the red roses. i pray for you every day little boy. i pray that you will give your heart to Jesus. then your eyes will truly be opened to this wonderful world.
